Kathrin

Kathrin has been working as a German teacher since 2014. After five years as a GFL lecturer at the University of the Basque Country (Spain), she has also been teaching online for various language schools since 2021. She is also certified to take Goethe exams at levels A1-C1. For her, it is something very special to be able to teach people from other cultures her mother tongue and the culture of German-speaking countries and to learn new things about other cultures. Thanks to her academic training, years of teaching different learning groups and levels and her own language learning experience, she knows what is important in language learning and is able to put herself in the shoes of her participants.

I can only recommend MyGermanCourses to anyone who wants to learn German. I have just completed the second part of level C1.1 with Asli’s class and she is a great teacher who makes difficult concepts very easy to understand. She also involves everyone in class and makes for a fluid learning experience, which is usually not so easy with online courses. (translated)

I look forward to every Tuesday and Thursday. The lessons are very pleasant and harmonious. We have a nice rhythm with my classmates, but the most important thing here is the teacher. Her lessons keep our attention and concentration dynamic in a very professional way. She always responds to the incomprehensible material. She is a very good teacher who knows her job well. A course consists of a maximum of 9 participants. As not everyone can attend every single session (due to family or work commitments, illness, etc.), it is not uncommon that sometimes there are only 3 or 4 other students in class with you.

4 lessons per week. Each lesson is 45 minutes long. This means that each registration (= 1 month) includes 16 lessons (12 hours).

A whole language level (e.g. A1, B2 etc.) will take 6 months; 3 months for a semi-level (e.g. A2.1, B2.2).

Registration and course fees are for one month (4 weeks, 16 lessons, 12 hours).

We can provide you with a certificate of attendance to prove that you have attended the course. This might be sufficient for your purposes.

However, for an official language level certificate you need to register for an exam, e.g. TELC or Goethe. We do not offer such exams.

If there are still places available in a course that is already running, you are welcome to start after the course has started. Write us an e-mail to: info@mygermancourses.com

Unfortunately, the lessons are not recorded for data protection reasons. However, the most important and new topics will be reviewed in the next lesson. You will also receive the lesson material (all notes from the lesson) so that you can easily catch up on the material.

We can offer you a discount if you would like to book and pay for a whole level (e.g. A1 or B2) in advance.

Please contact us for more information.

With the exception of the A1 courses, all levels are taught exclusively by native speakers. More importantly, all our teachers are highly experienced and have a degree in German as a Foreign Language, German Studies etc. and have strong passion for teaching.

Absolutely! Spoken communication is the main focus of all our courses. Of course, all other language areas will be trained, too. 🙂
